GRIEVESON, Brian J. Rochdale: Myth and Reality. n.p. [Hamilton]: Charasee Press, 1991. First Edition. Wrappers. 208x138mm. 60pp. Fine.
With a section of black and white plates from photographs. A self-published memoir of the author's experiences in Canada's great "free education" enterprise called Rochdale that was, in the late 60s and early 70s, symbolic of a new generation; killed and buried in the late 70s, it went on to be ignored in the 80s. As a project, Rochdale was unique to its times, and uniquely Canadian, and it will not (and cannot) be repeated. An uncommon edition about a unique piece of Toronto history.
